Chelsea Senior Living opened one of New Jersey’s very first Assisted Living communities in 1997. In the decades that have since followed, the company has expanded to two dozen communities across New Jersey and New York. In addition to Assisted Living, Chelsea offers Independent Living, Memory Care, and a Mental Health program.

Today we celebrated Gloria's 100th birthday, and she filled the room with laughter, smiles, and even some dancing! She brings so much warmth and happiness to our community, and celebrating this incredible milestone with her was such a joy.

Thank you to the West Orange Women’s Club for bringing this project to our “Live to Give” program that allowed us to help the homeless! It was a wonderful feeling to help create plarn mats for people in need, while also recycling/repurposing plastic! This was a great exercise combining hand dexterity and purpose-driven work with socialization. 🙌🏼

So now our residents of the Chelsea West Orange are calling on our friends, family, and followers to help us in our efforts. Comment.” I want to help” on this post and we will share a video of our residents showing you how to make this plarn (plastic yarn thread) and you can contribute to the mats that we will continue to make. 🫶🏼
