Do they sell ankle holsters for iCare? 😜

All jokes aside, the pressure test is nothing to worry about at SightCraft Eyecare. We do not use the infamous “puff of air test” and instead use the iCare tonometer during your routine exams. We compare the sensation to “a butterfly wing”, and we find that it is extremely well tolerated amongst all of our patients.

Measuring the pressure of the eye is an important screener for glaucoma. If you have been afraid of the “puff” in the past and need an updated ocular health check, SightCraft Eyecare is the place for you!

Does Dr. Berke speak Spanish?! Wait…hold our contact lens solution…

Dr. Berke can conduct exams in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Our friendly staff is also fluent in Spanish, making communication a breeze.

Fun fact: Dr. Berke received her Minor in Spanish at Florida State University in addition to her Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Sciences and Minor in Chemistry.

Although a lot of Spanish-speakers can speak English here in South Florida, some prefer to communicate in their native language when it comes to health issues to ensure they are understanding each diagnosis and treatment plan. If you know anyone who prefers a doctor that can speak Spanish during their eye exam, feel free to refer them to SightCraft!

La doctora Berke puede realizar exámenes en inglés, español y portugués. Nuestro amable personal también habla español con fluidez, lo que facilita enormemente la comunicación.

Un dato curioso: el Dr. Berke cursó una especialización secundaria (*minor*) en español en la Florida State University, además de obtener su licenciatura en Ciencias Biológicas y una especialización secundaria en Química.

Aunque muchas personas que hablan español tambíen hablan inglés aquí en el sur de Florida, algunas prefieren comunicarse en su lengua materna cuando se trata de temas de salud, para asegurarse de comprender bien cada diagnóstico y plan de tratamiento.
