Dr. Vicki Norton always leading the way!

Long before it became a national conversation, AAEM was fighting the Corporate Practice of Medicine.

During the AMA Meeting, AAEM was pleased to introduce, “Strengthening Our AMA Efforts Toward Corporate Practice of Medicine Prohibition” with cosponsorship from the Florida Delegation. This resolution successfully passed on June 9 at the AMA House of Delegates, creating policy to close corporate loopholes that violate state CPOM laws.

We’re in Washington, D.C., preparing to meet with members of Congress to advocate for our specialty, our patients, and the preservation of physician-led care. Today is packed with engaging sessions designed to demystify health policy, sharpen our advocacy efforts, and equip us to drive meaningful change in healthcare.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Palm Beach County Medical Society Legislative Town Hall. It was a great event filled with insight about the future of healthcare, physician advocacy, and legislative priorities. We are honored to hear from Dr. Bobby Mukkamala, President of the American Medical Association (AMA), and Dr. Alma Littles, Vice President of the AMA. Whose insights and leadership inspired thoughtful discussion. Thank you to all who attended and helped make the evening such a success.
