With a plan, you will have access to a companion any time you have a medical emergency in Palm Beach County. In a medical crisis, you will have someone by your side to:

Relay accurate medical information to health care providers. Stay with you until you are sent home or admitted and settled in your room. Provide you and your family with timely information. Maximize you and your family members’ ability to make informed decisions. If you are admitted to a care facility, a Prepare to Care - Emergency Companion will:

Visit daily and obtain updates on your progress
Communicate to you and your family test results, plans of care and other information on your status. Provide an aide if you or your family do not want you to be alone.
