Reminder, you can ALWAYS ask questions.

Unlike the ridiculous legal fight of a Florida woman, most facilities will accept your autonomy - even if there's some pushback.

Discussion and respect is how we have safe birth without unnecessary trauma. Doctors, midwives, nurses who practice with respect will have these conversations with you to help you make informed decisions and understand if there's a true medical concern.

Tuesday, November 25th we got to welcome the newest member of our family into our lives. What a blessing it was to bring you earth side in the comfort of our home, surrounded by an amazing loving support system. We are all so grateful that you are here Leon. 🩵 Special thank you to With Woman Midwifery Service for being an amazing midwife, supporting us through our pregnancy, birth, and now postpartum. Rural hospitals are closing Labor & Delivery units… and everyone acts like moms will
“just figure it out.”

But babies don’t wait an extra hour so you can make it to the city.
Complications don’t pause because funding ran out.
Women shouldn’t be giving birth in cars, gas stations, or ERs with no OB staff.

We say we “support families,”
yet we shut down the very places that bring those families into the world.

You can’t claim to value life while making it harder and more dangerous to bring it into the world.

Small town moms deserve better than
“Sorry… hope you make it in time.”
