Think of toxin units like measuring cups in a recipe.

A unit isn't "better" or "stronger." It's simply a way we measure how much product is used. Everyone's muscles are different, so the number of units you need depends on things like your muscle strength, facial anatomy, your goals, and whether you've had treatment before.

For example, someone with very strong forehead muscles may need more units than someone with softer muscle movement. That doesn't mean one person is "more wrinkly" than the other. It just means their muscles require a different amount to achieve the desired result.

22 units will be written like "22u" and your cost is priced by the unit x how many units you receive! Tox is not one-size fits all!

If toxin is $12 per unit, here's what that could look like:

10 units = $120
20 units = $240
30 units = $360
40 units = $480
50 units = $600

Price per unit × Number of units = Total Cost

Let's talk about one of the most talked about (and misunderstood) risks of filler: vascular occlusions.

A vascular occlusion happens when filler blocks or compresses a blood vessel, reducing blood flow to the surrounding tissue. It's rare, but it's something every experienced injector is trained to recognize and treat quickly.

This is why your injector's education, training, and anatomy knowledge matter so much.When I'm injecting, I'm constantly watching for early warning signs like:

• Skin turning pale or white
• A lace-like or mottled appearance
• Pain that's more intense than expected
• Delayed capillary refill
• Changes in skin temperature or color

If I ever suspect an occlusion, treatment starts immediately. Depending on the type of filler used, that may include dissolving the filler with Hylenex, massaging the area, applying warmth, encouraging blood flow, and following established emergency protocols. Early recognition is one of the biggest factors in achieving a positive outcome.

The goal isn't to scare you away from filler. It's to remind you that cosmetic injections ARE MEDICAL PROCEDURES, not beauty trends. Choosing an experienced, licensed medical injector means you're choosing someone who understands facial anatomy, knows how to minimize risks, and is prepared to act if a complication occurs.

Beautiful results start with safe injections. Every single time. Call your injector on her emergency line immediately if you suspect a vascular occlusion.

Hot take: if everyone can tell you had filler... it probably wasn't the goal.

The best injectable results are the ones people can't quite figure out.

They'll say you look more rested. Like you're glowing. Like you've been sleeping better or drinking more water. They won't immediately think, "She definitely got filler." That's because my goal is to enhance your beauty that is already there.

A lot of people are surprised when I tell them that sometimes the best treatment is actually doing less. A good injector knows when to add, when to wait, and when to leave well enough alone!
