Congratulations to Hope Smith, RN, on her promotion to Director of Emergency Services at Ozarks Healthcare!

A West Plains native, Hope has dedicated the past 15 years to serving patients and growing her career at Ozarks Healthcare. Throughout her journey, she has served in roles across the organization, including Women's Health, Medical/Surgical, Float Pool, House Supervisor, and Nursing Administration - bringing valuable clinical experience and leadership to every position.

In her new role, Hope will oversee Emergency Services while supporting patient care, quality and safety initiatives, staff development, and operational excellence. She is also passionate about helping develop the next generation of nurses through Ozarks Healthcare's Nurse Residency Program.

"Stepping into this role is both an honor and a privilege," Hope said. "After 15 years at Ozarks Healthcare, it's incredibly meaningful to continue growing my career in an organization that has invested in me. I'm excited to lead an amazing team and continue making a positive impact on our patients, staff, and community."

What started as a swim team fundraiser became a heartfelt tribute to a beloved coach - and a meaningful gift for local cancer patients.

The West Plains Waves Swim Club, along with the Seymour and Houston swimming communities, came together to raise more than $450 for the Ozarks Healthcare Cancer Treatment Center in honor of the late Toni McKinney, whose passion for swimming and dedication to mentoring young athletes touched countless lives.

This generous donation is a testament to Toni's lasting legacy and the incredible power of a community coming together to support patients receiving cancer care close to home.
