The IL Department wrapped up its final day of the summer session at the West Plains Boys and Girls Club today, and it was a great hit. Students reviewed disabilities, tools and strategies through a lively round of the “I Have, Who Has?” game. They jumped right in and proved they not only paid attention, but truly remembered the Imagine Abilities program.
A huge thank you to our outstanding team: IL Specialist Sherri Howell who developed this incredible program, and IL Specialist Kayleigh Mooney, whose support helped bring it to life!

Fantastic work, ladies - you make OIL proud!

Attendant Spotlight-

We would like to take the time to publicly recognize the dedication and excellent work ethic of one of our Shannon County attendants: Molly Ice.

Molly selflessly cares for several of our consumers, while holding another full time job; in addition to being a First Responder for the county. She goes above and beyond in her duties to ensure the well-being and safety of the consumers she serves. She ensures the rules of the program are followed as designed and communicates effectively with the OIL office with any information we need to be aware of.

Molly was raised in Fremont Missouri and moved around a bit, early in her adult life. She settled permanently in Winona about 10 years ago.
She has served as an attendant under the OIL CDS program for various consumers since 2019.

CONGRATULATIONS MOLLY! On behalf of the consumers you serve, thank you for your continued dedication.

OIL will close at 4:00 TOMORROW August 4th, so that our employees will have plenty of time to vote. thank you all!

On Wednesday, at the Boys and Girls Club, Imagine Abilities students tried out a simple “energy” game to get a feel for what chronic illness and invisible disabilities can be like. It showed how our energy and abilities can shift from day to day. It’s not the same as living it, but it’s a nice way to spark conversations about empathy, inclusion, and being kind to each other. Way to go IL Specialists Sherri Howell and Kayleigh Mooney!
