Chronic stress contributes to inflammation, digestive issues, poor sleep, hormone imbalance, and cardiovascular disease.

Yoga has been extensively studied over the past two decades, and while it is not a cure-all, the research consistently shows meaningful benefits for physical health, mental well-being, and healthy aging.

One valuable benefit of a.regular yoga practice is reduction of stress and anxiety.
One of the strongest areas of evidence for yoga is its effect on the nervous system. Regular yoga practice has been shown to reduce perceived stress, anxiety symptoms, and physiological markers of stress through movement, breathwork, and mindfulness practices.

This is important because chronic stress contributes to inflammation, digestive issues, poor sleep, hormone imbalance, and cardiovascular disease.

Here is a article about the effects yoga for stress reduction

Do you ever feel like your body has changed overnight?

You're eating the same foods, doing the same things, yet you're struggling with fatigue, brain fog, bloating, mood swings, stubborn weight gain, anxiety, or feeling completely depleted.

If you're in your 40s, 50s, or beyond, you're not alone.

As women, our bodies naturally move through different seasons of life. What worked in our 20s and 30s often no longer supports us the same way. The answer isn't pushing harder or blaming yourself. It's learning how to support your body differently.

Ayurveda teaches us how to work with our body's changing needs and reconnect with the rhythms of nature so we can move through each chapter with greater ease, energy, and balance.

You don't have to accept feeling exhausted, frustrated, or disconnected as your new normal.

Through personalized Ayurvedic consultations, I help women uncover the root causes of imbalance and create simple, sustainable practices that support digestion, energy, metabolism, hormones, and overall well-being.

Less overwhelm
Better digestion
More clarity
More energy
A deeper connection to yourself

Transform in the Kitchen!
This little dish was inspired by the Savory recipe magazine from stop and shop! It is so tasty and I added a few things to balance it out!
Here is the link to the recipe https://www.savoryonline.com/recipes/chickpea-salad-with-lemon-vinaigrette/

AND
here is what I added:

To the dressing I added more olive oil, extra lemon juice, a touch of apple cider vinegar and I used fresh diced parley and oregano and black pepper and a dash of salt.

To the salad I added diced red onion and cooked sliced beets (as seen in this picture).
I also added chopped cucumbers and avocado the next day to switch it up!

I eliminated the pita chips

Some Ayurvedic insight to the ingredients:

Chickpeas:

Dry, light, and astringent
Excellent for reducing excess Kapha
High in plant protein and fiber

Arugula:

Bitter and pungent
Excellent spring green for liver support
Helps clear excess mucus and stagnation

Lemon:

Stimulates agni (digestive fire)
Supports digestion and assimilation
Helps cleanse and awaken the body after winter

Garlic:

Warming and stimulating
Helps clear Kapha accumulation
Supports circulation and digestion

Parsley:

Light and cleansing
Traditionally used to support healthy fluid balance

Cooked Beets:

Support liver and blood purification
Nourishing without being excessively heavy

Cucumber:

In moderation and small amount
Cooling and hydrating
Refreshing as weather becomes warmer

Avocado:

Use sparingly. 1/4 - 1/2 in moderation during Spring

Nourishing healthy fats
Creates satiety
