The Biomechanical Profile. A 250 dollar clinician performed movement assessment that is the starting point for every clinical recovery and training program at Optimal Wellness.

Most people have never had a real assessment of how their body moves. They have had X rays. Maybe an MRI. Perhaps a quick screen at a physical therapist's office. This is something else.

The assessment evaluates joint by joint mobility throughout the kinetic chain. Functional movement under load. Static and dynamic posture. Gait. Strength deficits and side to side imbalances. Clinical history that gives the data meaning.

What you walk out with: a clear picture of why you hurt, not just where. Which joints are restricted. Where your body is compensating. Your specific strength deficits. And a prioritized roadmap for what to address first.

Performed exclusively by Jacob Corley. Booking by appointment.

The pollen has arrived. You have probably already met it.
Every spring the lymphatic system carries more than it was built to carry comfortably. Histamine, inflammation, the puffiness that settles around the eyes and sinuses, the heavy feeling in the legs at the end of a long day. Most people file this under allergies and reach for the antihistamine, which is reasonable. There is just another layer underneath it worth knowing.

The lymphatic system is the body's drainage and filtration network, and it has no pump of its own. It moves when you move, when you breathe deeply, and when skilled hands help it along. When the pollen counts spike and the system is working overtime, manual lymphatic drainage takes some of the load off.

Booking for lymphatic drainage is open with Jeff Bean, and Faolain Bobersky. Link in our bio to schedule!

A pattern we are seeing this season: a noticeable number of new clients arriving with sciatica and low back pain.

If you are carrying this, the first thing worth knowing is that you are not carrying it alone, and the pattern is recognizable. Low back pain rarely lives only in the low back. It is usually a conversation between the hips, the deep abdominal layer, and the way you have been sitting, standing, or compensating for something you may not have noticed yet.

We see it. We work it. The Biomechanical Profile is where we map the parts of that conversation you cannot feel from the inside. Link in our bio!

Consumer wellness optimizes for engagement. The streak, the badge, the daily nudge, the number that goes up. It is built to keep you opening the app, because your attention is the product.

Clinical grade optimizes for something else. Outcome. Whether the joint loads, whether the tissue tolerates the work, whether you can do in June what you could not do in March. None of that shows up as a vanity metric, because none of it was built to perform on a feed.

This is the line that separates Clinical Capacity Training from the category it gets mistaken for. The work is not designed to be engaging. It is designed to be correct.
Train for the outcome, not the streak.

Snap pea and radish arugula salad. Ten minutes, eight ingredients, two servings. From Renée Slonaker, our functional nutritionist.

Some recipes do not need to be complicated to be clinical.

Snap peas carry fiber and vitamin K. Radishes support phase two liver detoxification. Arugula brings the cruciferous load. Olive oil and lemon are the dressing. That is enough.

The whole point of functional nutrition is that food should do work, not impress.

Discovery calls with Renée are complimentary. Use the link in our bio to get the full printable recipe and to schedule!

The third profession problem.

There are three professions that own pieces of the same body.
🔸 Physical therapy
🔸 Personal training
🔸 Manual therapy
Each one gets a third of the problem wrong because none of them share vocabulary with the other two.

🔸 PT ends at activities of daily living. Which is often well before the body can return to the demands of an actual life.
🔸 Personal training assumes the body is cleared for general fitness programming. When it is not, the training reinforces the compensations that caused the problem.
🔸 Manual therapy moves tissue but does not load it. Without progressive loading, the tissue returns to baseline within days.

Clinical Capacity Training is the stitching across the three. It does the work the disciplines were never designed to do alone. Use the link in our bio to schedule!

Asparagus and pea frittata. From Renée Slonaker, our functional nutritionist. Thirty minutes, eight servings, ten ingredients.

A week of breakfasts in one pan.
Ten eggs across eight servings is real protein per slice, the kind that holds blood sugar steady through the morning. Asparagus and peas contribute fiber and folate. Baby spinach brings magnesium and the leafy green compounds we want in rotation. Goat cheese adds richness without the inflammatory load of conventional dairy. Whole milk yogurt keeps the texture custardy.

Cook once on a Sunday. Eat well all week.

Functional nutrition is not about restriction. It is about every plate doing work. Renée builds protocols around that principle.

Discovery calls with Renée are complimentary. Use the link in the bio to schedule and to see the printable version of this recipe!

Red. Yellow. Green. A frame from Clinical Capacity Training.

🛑 Red is pain that says stop.
⚠️ Yellow is sensation that says listen.
✅ Green is the clear signal that says load.

Most people only learn to read red. They stop when something hurts and resume when it does not. That reading is correct, but it is incomplete. The work is in the yellow, the sensation that is not pain but is also not nothing, the signal the body sends when a tissue is being asked for something it can do but cannot do well yet.

Reading yellow honestly is the difference between training that builds capacity and training that builds compensation.

The methodology runs on reading the three in real time, in the room. Use the link in our bio to book a biomechanical profile to learn more about your specific red, yellow & green lights!
