Richard “Dick” G. Stultz, 76, of West Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at The Gibson Center for Hospice Care, with his family by his side. Dick was born in Vigo County on August 27, 1949, to Richard Stultz and Lillian Bradshaw Stultz.

Dick was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Marksmanship Medal (M-14). He was deeply proud of his military service and the sacrifices made alongside his fellow soldiers. Dick worked for GTE/Verizon as an installer for 43 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Village Church, a lifetime member and past Commander of VFW Post 6574, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 501. He was also a proud member of The Brothers of the Woods, where countless campouts created years of memories, laughter, and stories among his fellow “brothers”.

Growing up, Dick balanced long hours working on the family farm while also excelling as a standout baseball player in high school. A true outdoorsman, he loved spending time in nature hunting rabbit, squirrel, deer, and bear. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting, bowling, camping, and fishing trips with family and friends. Some of his favorite memories were the trips to Canada with his parents and brother, David, for bear hunting and fishing at the family cabin. He also fondly remembered his road trip to Alaska in an old RV.

Above all, Dick dearly loved his family. He cherished time spent traveling together, sitting around a campfire, playing cards, or simply enjoying each other’s company. He and Jeanette especially loved camping together and making memories outdoors. Dick also loved playing euchre with family and friends, especially when everyone came ready for one of his fiercely competitive, no-mercy card games. He treasured the laughter, stories, and good times shared around the table. Dick enjoyed sharing a beer with family and friends, especially his friend, Johnny, where “just one” often turned into “just one more” as the stories and laughter carried late into the evening.

He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Loren Edington, mother-in-law, Geneva Majors Edington, brother, David Stultz, brothers-in-law, Dick Jackson, Bill Majors, Tony Savant, and Kenny Edington, sister-in-law, Ella Mae Jackson, and niece, Amanda Stultz Ludlow.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Edington Stultz (m. 6/11/1983), son, Bryan Kelsheimer (Lacee), daughter, Robin Wyrick (Randy), son, Troy Kelsheimer (Lori), grandchildren, Aidan (Lauren), Briana, Ethan (Jessica), Sarah (J.P.), Caitlyn (Jeremy), Evan, Trevor, Morgan, Kaleb (Paige), Riley, Logan, Lily, great grandchildren, Rowan, Piper, Quinn, Spencer, Charlotte, Oakley, Elijah, Silas, Emmie, Lane, Bridger, Quailon, June, Lennon, Alice, nieces, Bekka Stultz Jackson (Cedric), Sarah Stultz Mahady (Brandon), nephew, Ed Ludlow, sisters-in-law, Sandy Howard (Steve), Jean Savant, Maria Majors, Elsie Edington, and Sheila Stultz, and great nieces and great nephews, Dalten Chambers, Emma Chambers, Michael Chambers, Robbie Ludlow, Kace Jackson, Madison Mahady, and Lillian Mahady, several cousins, and lifelong friends, John and Jeanette Wrin, and Mark and Janice Arnold.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with military rites and a rosary service. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Village Church, with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Village Church Cemetery. Celebrating the Life of Blaise Alessandro Carrillo
October 29, 2009 – May 26, 2026
Martinsville, IN — Blaise Alessandro Carrillo, a vibrant, courageous, and deeply loved 16-year-old, passed away on May 26, 2026, in Martinsville, Indiana, following a fierce, yearlong battle with leukemia. Though his fight was complex and filled with difficult complications, Blaise faced every single day with a bravery that inspired everyone around him.
Born on October 29, 2009, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Blaise brought an immediate warmth and energy into the lives of his parents, Sara (Blystone) Brake and Osni Carrillo Sanchez. He grew into an extraordinary young man and was currently a sophomore at Martinsville High School.
To know Blaise was to know pure joy in motion. He possessed a deep, unyielding love for music, and no matter how sick he was, or how difficult the day, you could always find him singing and dancing. He had a profound passion for Broadway musicals, with Cabaret holding a particularly special place in his heart. Blaise had an infectious laugh that could light up the darkest rooms, and a smile so beautiful it etched itself into the memories of everyone he met. He truly left an indelible mark on this world, which now feels undeniably less colorful without him in it.
Family and Legacy
Blaise’s memory will be forever cherished and kept alive by his loving family:
Parents: His mother, Sara Brake (John), and his father, Osni Carrillo Sanchez (Gera).
Siblings: Ava DeLeon, Isaac Rogers, Marina Vazquez, and Camila Vazquez.
Grandparents: Scherelda “Mike” Blystone, William Blystone Sr., and Sonia Sanchez Samayoa and Romeo Carrillo Barrios
Extended Family: A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

"Life is a cabaret, old chum, so come to the cabaret."
Blaise lived his life with that exact theatrical spark, teaching us all to dance through the shadows and sing through the pain. He will be missed beyond measure.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 4:00 PM. Visitation is scheduled on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Riley Children’s Hospital, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202, in memory of Blaise.
