⚠️ RIDOH and DEM recommend avoiding contact with Edgewood Lake at Roger Williams Park in Providence and Briar Point Beach on Tiogue Lake in Coventry due to harmful algal blooms (HABs) caused by blue-green algae (cyanobacteria). HABs can produce toxins that can be harmful to humans and animals.

To minimize health risks:
• Avoid swimming, fishing, boating, or kayaking
• Don’t drink untreated water or eat fish from this pond
• Keep pets out of the water
• HABs can move around, so use caution in all areas of this pond
📌 This advisory is in effect until further notice.

RIDOH and DEM have lifted the recommendation to avoid recreational activities at Wenscott Reservoir in North Providence.

Find more information and a list of current HAB advisories at dem.ri.gov/hab-dashboard
📞 Report suspected HABs to [email protected]

Do you have a doctor you can go to when you get sick? Can you get an appointment when you need one? These are big questions for many people in our community.

A group of neighbors — people who live and work right here in West Warwick — are working together to make primary care better for everyone. Primary care is the everyday health care you get from a doctor, nurse, or clinic. It helps you stay healthy and catch problems early.

The West Warwick Primary Care for All Americans Work Group, is part of a larger effort happening across the country. Together, we are:

• Finding out what health care needs people in our community have
• Listening to what community members like you think and want
• Supporting young people from our community to become doctors and health care workers

To do this work, we need your help.

Please take 5 minutes to fill out a short survey. Your answers will help us understand what is working and what needs to change.

Your voice matters. Every answer helps us build a healthier community for all of us.
