Starting at 28 Weeks, most people are familiar with Count the Kicks (link below) and the idea of monitoring your baby's movements during pregnancy. The reason to make this a daily ritual is because it's just as much about noticing the normal pattern as it is in looking for an abnormal pattern. Let me explain:

If you count your baby's kicks every day, and you usually get 10 kicks in 30 minutes, and your checking at the same time everyday, and they are very consistent -- you should still pay attention or consider if there is an issue if one day your baby takes 2 hours to do 10 movements. That big change in the pattern is something to pay attention to!

Calling and asking your pregnancy provider about a change in fetal movement can feel like a scary thing to do. But it's definitely best to ask the question. And your pregnancy provider should never make you feel like a burden for doing so.

While she will plan to maintain her primary care patients at Steinmann Family Health Clinic, she will plan to transfer all of her Hormone and Home Birth patients to the comfort and coziness of her new space tailored just for them.
