No medical advice No matter what the health problem, don’t surrender to a life of pain and misery until you see us. There is hope! Our clinics use The Wellness Way approach to assess and treat your health care concerns. Perhaps you have experienced being examined by a doctor, having blood tests done, x-rays or other diagnostic tests taken, only for your doctor to report back that all your tests are normal. Yet you know that there is something wrong! Unfortunately, this experience is all too common. Most physicians are trained to look only in specific places for the answers, using the same familiar labs or diagnostic tests. Yet, many causes of illness cannot be found in these places. The usual tests do not look for food allergies, hidden infections, environmental toxins, mold exposures, nutritional deficiencies and metabolic imbalances. We use a variety of innovative testing techniques and procedures to help our patients prevent illness and recover from many chronic and difficult to treat conditions. Our clinicians are highly skilled in evaluating and assessing chronic problems such as fibromyalgia, fatigue syndromes, autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders, mood and behavior disorders, memory problems, heart disease, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, autism, and other chronic, complex conditions. When it comes to your health and wellness, we believe that your journey begins here! https://westdesmoinesia.thewellnessway.com/

You don’t need a bigger supplement cabinet.

You need a better understanding of why you’re taking each thing.

Supplements can absolutely have a place.

But “take this because you have Hashimoto’s” isn’t individualized care.

The question should always be:

What problem are we trying to solve?

Sometimes “Hashimoto’s fatigue” isn’t entirely about your thyroid.

Iron status can be another important piece of the puzzle.

But don’t chase a single lab number.

Look at the whole picture—and ask why.

That’s the difference between simply reacting to a lab and actually investigating what’s happening.

09/08/2026

Your body doesn’t need another supplement if what it really needs is recovery.

Sleep.

Nutrition.

Movement.

Stress management.

Connection.

Downtime.

These aren’t luxuries.

They’re inputs your body responds to every day.

Hashimoto’s + digestive problems?

Don’t automatically assume they’re unrelated.

The gastrointestinal tract and immune system are deeply connected, so gut health can be an important part of the bigger picture.

Not a magic cure.

Not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Just another piece of the puzzle worth investigating.

Comment GUT if you want Part 2.

If you’re exhausted every day, “you have Hashimoto’s” isn’t a complete explanation.

Your diagnosis may be part of the picture.

But it’s worth asking what else could be contributing.

Symptoms are clues.

The goal is to follow the clues instead of simply covering them up.

Antibodies reflect immune activity—not destiny.

Your diagnosis doesn’t tell me exactly how you’re going to feel six months from now.

And one antibody number doesn’t tell me the entire story.

I want to look at the person behind the lab report.

That’s where individualized care becomes important.

Follow for Day 4.

“Your labs are normal.”

But you don’t feel normal.

If you’ve heard that before, you’re not alone.

The answer isn’t necessarily more medication or more supplements.

Sometimes it means we need to widen the lens.

Because symptoms don’t always come with a giant red flag on one lab report.

Your symptoms are data, too.

Save this if you’ve ever felt dismissed by “normal labs.”

Things I wish every person with Hashimoto’s knew:

Hashimoto’s isn’t simply a thyroid problem.

The thyroid is where we see the consequences, but Hashimoto’s involves the immune system.

That’s why I don’t believe every person with Hashimoto’s should automatically get the exact same plan.

Your symptoms, labs, history, lifestyle, nutrition, gut health, stress, sleep and other factors all matter.

The diagnosis may be the same. The person isn’t.

Follow along for Day 2.

If you’ve been managing Hashimoto’s for years but still don’t feel like yourself, you aren’t alone.

And you don’t necessarily need another supplement or another restrictive diet.

You may need someone to step back and look at the whole picture.

That’s the philosophy behind how we approach autoimmune and thyroid health.

We don’t just ask:

“What can we do for your thyroid?”

We ask:

“What might be contributing to the way your entire system is functioning?”

If you’re ready to take a deeper look at your Hashimoto’s journey, DM me HASHIMOTOS.

We’ll send you information about how our clinic works with patients.
