Two years ago, this clinic was just an idea and a whole lot of hope. Today, it’s a growing community of incredible families, hardworking clinicians, and clients who inspire me every single day.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has trusted us to be part of their journey—your support means everything. Watching our clients grow and succeed is the reason we do what we do, and I couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come.

Cheers to 2 years, and to all the growth, connection, and exciting moments still ahead.

“Help me maintain my ability to say what I want.”

When I asked about their goals for speech therapy, this was the answer—and it says everything. Communication isn’t just about words; it’s about independence, identity, and connection.

Moments like this are a reminder that our work goes far beyond exercises and strategies. It’s about supporting people in holding onto what matters most: their voice.

April is Autism Acceptance Month 💙

At Connect Therapy, we believe acceptance goes beyond awareness—it means respecting autistic voices, ensuring meaningful access, and providing the supports that make full participation in community life possible.

Communication looks different for everyone, and those differences deserve to be honored and celebrated—not changed or diminished.

When we listen, adapt, and advocate, we help build a world where autistic individuals are not just included, but truly valued.

Let’s continue creating spaces where every voice is heard and every person belongs.

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month 💚

At Connect Therapy, we have the privilege of working with both children and adults navigating life after brain injury. Every journey looks different—but each one is filled with resilience, growth, and small victories worth celebrating.

From rebuilding speech and language skills, to supporting stuttering, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing, our goal is to help individuals reconnect with what matters most: communication, confidence, and quality of life.

Brain injury recovery is not linear, and no one should have to go through it alone. This month (and every month), let’s raise awareness, share resources, and support those impacted—patients, families, and caregivers alike.

Adults need speech therapy too!
As a speech-language pathologist and private practice owner, I work with adults on so much more than people realize. Speech therapy for adults can support:

🗣️ Speech clarity & articulation
🧠 Cognitive-communication (memory, attention, problem-solving)
🥤 Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)
💬 Voice disorders & vocal fatigue
😶‍🌫️ Word-finding & language challenges
🧑‍💼 Professional communication & confidence

Whether it’s after a stroke, due to a medical diagnosis, or simply wanting to communicate more effectively at work and in life — therapy is personalized to your goals.

Communication is for every stage of life.

At Connect Therapy, we start with functional words. 💛

These are words toddlers can use right away to communicate their needs, make choices, and feel understood—like more, go, eat, help, yes, and no. When a child learns words that work for them in daily life, communication becomes meaningful, motivating, and empowering.

Functional words reduce frustration, support independence, and lay the foundation for longer phrases and conversations later on. Before we worry about labels or perfect pronunciation, we focus on words that give toddlers a voice.
