Hey Chiropractors! It's live!
Thrilled to share that my new three-module online course, "Adjusting Stress to Strength: Building Resilience in Chiropractors and Patients Through Mindfulness Science and Strategies," is now available through the Canadian Chiropractic Association in its Learning Lab.
As chiropractors, we're trained to help patients navigate pain, stress, and dysfunction. But who teaches us how to manage the pressures of practice itself? And can mindfulness help our patients? How? This course was designed to answer these questions.
Across three modules, you'll learn:
• The science behind mindfulness and why it works
• How stress affects the brain, nervous system, attention, and decision-making
• The role of the brain's Default Mode Network in worry, rumination, and mental overload
• Practical strategies for managing the physical, emotional, and business demands of chiropractic practice
• Brief mindfulness "micro-resets" that can be used between patients in under two minutes
• Mindfulness techniques for improving focus, sensory clarity, and emotional regulation
• The connection between stress, pain, and the nervous system
• Simple, evidence-informed mindfulness tools you can share with patients
• A second mindfulness technique for cultivating calm, resilience, and recovery
This isn't about becoming a meditation expert. It's about developing practical skills (through illustrations, practices, handouts and a workbook) that can help you show up with greater focus, resilience, and presence, for both yourself and your patients.
Huge thanks to the team at the CCA for the opportunity to create this program.
The demands of practice aren't getting any lighter. The good news is that resilience is a skill....and skills can be trained.
I hope you'll join me in the Learning Lab.
