Watching someone continue to practice without interruption while the person who spoke up is left navigating financial instability, uncertainty, and the emotional fallout is one of the hardest parts of this process.

A year later, I’m still here fighting for accountability, transparency, and basic fairness. Meanwhile, the system moves painfully slow for those harmed by it, but seems incredibly efficient at protecting those already in positions of power.

People always say, “Why doesn’t anyone speak up?”
This is why.
🩺
Because speaking up can cost you financially, professionally, emotionally, and personally. It can affect your housing, your stability, your peace, and your future while the person at the center of it all often continues on as if nothing happened.
💥And yet, I would still do it again.💥
Because advocacy is not about convenience. It’s about protecting veterinary professionals, clients, and patients from systems that rely on silence to survive.

I am exhausted. I am frustrated. But I am not done.

To every technician, assistant, veterinarian, CSR, or support staff member who has ever felt crushed by retaliation, ignored by the process, or punished for telling the truth: I see you. Your voice matters, even when the system makes you feel invisible.
