What a fantastic day at the Prairie Women’s Expo on April 11 at the Tracy Veterans Center!

Our Sanford Health team loved connecting with the community while sharing information on heart health, various cancers, mental health, and preventive care. Attendees even got a glowing lesson on proper hand hygiene with our glow‑germ activity.

On March 25, 2026, Sanford Tracy and Westbrook were proud to participate in a Career Fair held at the Veterans Center in Tracy, MN. The event welcomed students from 9th–12th grade at TMB Schools, along with 10th graders from WWG attending for the very first time.
With over 200 students in attendance, the excitement and curiosity were contagious as students explored potential career paths during the morning event, which ran through 12:00 p.m.

Our Sanford booth showcased a wide range of career opportunities, including:

Students were encouraged to visit multiple booths, ask questions, and engage with professionals while completing a Bingo-style activity. Completed cards were submitted for a drawing to win gift certificates to local businesses, adding even more excitement to the day!
We loved hearing students share their goals and ask thoughtful questions about their futures—it was truly inspiring to connect with the next generation of professionals.

Over 15 million steps were crushed by our amazing staff this March!

We challenged 13 teams (52 staff) to get moving, and the results were incredible. Beyond the competition, focusing on walking this month reminded us that consistent movement is one of the best things you can do for your heart health, mood, and energy levels.

A massive shoutout to our champions, The Waist Management Team, who took the top spot with a staggering 1,441,900 steps! 🏆

We had a wonderful time celebrating Provider’s Week (March 25–31) with gatherings at our Tracy and Westbrook locations! Our Tracy team enjoyed a delicious dessert bar, while Westbrook hosted an amazing breakfast spread featuring waffles and yogurt parfaits. Staff had the opportunity to connect with our providers, ask curious questions about their profession, and share heartfelt thanks and praise for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. We are so grateful for our incredible providers and all that they do every day! 💙👏

Kelly Pfeifer is a top-level college basketball official who referees nationally televised games throughout the United States. Josefine Combs, Psy.D., is a Sanford Health neuropsychologist who helps athletes with the mental side of competing. Pfeifer wanted to become a better referee and sought out Combs to help him do that.

After Rick Anderson received a TAVR procedure, a surgery meant to replace a valve in his heart, his Sanford Health care team instructed him to follow a cardiac rehab program. He highly attributes that to his successful recovery.

Not everyone attends all of their rehab sessions, but doing so "gives them the encouragement that they're able to exercise on their own when they're done here," says Allison Mildenberger, RN.

💙 Symptoms of cardiovascular disease are more atypical in women and often go ignored.

We had a great time bringing heart-healthy awareness to WWG by hosting a "Red Out" basketball event! Fans and players filled the gym with a sea of red to show their support for heart health. We also hosted an educational booth, offering free merch and heart health resources.
