Central Ohio Pediatric Behavioral Health

Central Ohio Pediatric Behavioral Health Our Mission is to improve mental health and wellbeing by empowering children and families to be the best versions of themselves.

Central Ohio Pediatric Behavioral Health is a child, adolescent, young adult, and family therapy practice in Westerville, Ohio. We offer individual, parent-only, and family therapy sessions. Our team of three clinicians at Central Ohio Pediatric Behavioral Health is committed to facilitating positive transformation in the lives of individuals and families. Central Ohio Pediatric Behavioral Health

is dedicated to the mission of enhancing the well-being of children and families throughout Central Ohio. Our primary objective is to expand the accessibility of high-quality, evidence-informed treatment. One of the things we enjoy most about working with children is that they are continually changing and growing. Children have an amazing capacity to learn new skills and adapt to challenges they face. By capitalizing on these innate abilities, we can remove barriers in their lives and empower them to grow and develop in the best way they can. We understand the difficulty parents can face when witnessing their children deal with daily stressors and mental health concerns, perhaps feeling unsure on how to provide effective support. Together, we will work to provide your children with improved coping strategies, instill healthy habits, and guide them towards overall better health and well-being. We collaborate closely with parents to identify practical solutions to the challenges their families may encounter, aiming to empower them with confidence and self-assurance in addressing challenges.

Teen girls get a lot of messages about what to fix about themselves. My job isn't to add to that list.

So much of my work isn't about pointing out what's "wrong" — it's about helping a girl notice what's already strong in her. The way she advocates for a friend. The way she keeps showing up to practice even on hard days. The way she's already figuring out who she is, even when it feels messy.

Strength-based therapy means we start there. We build from what's working, not just what's struggling. Because confidence doesn't come from being told to "just believe in yourself" — it comes from actually seeing your own resilience reflected back to you, session after session.

Teen girls are carrying a lot right now — school, friendships, social media, figuring out identity. My goal is to help them carry it with more self-trust, not less.

If your daughter could use a space like that, I'd love to help.

Bright kid. Big feelings when homework starts. Sounds familiar? If your child is capable, creative, full of ideas, but school still feels like a daily battle, you're not imagining it, and you're not alone.
Sarah Hansen, our educating therapist, breaks down some signs that your child (or teen, or emerging adult!) may benefit from Educational Therapy. Sometimes the way we're wired hasn't found a match yet in how school is taught. Good news- we can help.
Curious if this might be helpful in your family? We create a 2 minute quite to help you figure it out. Link in bio.

Summer is half way through- are you hearing the dreaded "I'm boooorrred" ?
Dr. Parker Huston is here with a more in depth look at his "3 Goals" plan (there's a 'hat trick' joke in there somewhere 😉) for non-screen related downtime.
If screen time has become too big of a battle in your house, and you're looking for support on building healthy long term habits, give us a call. We can help.

Is your child is smart, but struggling in school? Are they putting in so much effort, but only moving an inch instead of a mile? Are they brilliantly creative and innovative, but get lost with everyday tasks?
This could mean their Executive Functioning skills need a tune-up (or overhaul 😉) Sarah Hansen, Educational Therapist, is the expert you need on your team.
Give us a call, we can help.

Tutoring and educational therapy might sound the same — but they're not. 💙

A tutor helps your child get through tonight's homework. An educational therapist helps your child understand why learning has felt so hard — and builds the skills to make it easier, for life.

If your child is bright but struggling, there may be more going on beneath the surface. Give us a call, we can help.
