Depression can co-occur with ADHD, and girls are the group we need to look at hardest. Pooled rates of depression in girls with ADHD exceed those of their neurotypical peers, and girls with ADHD are more likely to be diagnosed with depression than boys with ADHD. Reported rates of ADHD and depression together in youth range from 1.7% to 60% depending on how they're measured — wide, but never negligible. ADHD testing at Monarch Counseling in Westerville, Ohio, can identify girls who are also struggling with depression. Reach out to Monarch Counseling in Westerville, Ohio, for ADHD testing.
