CELEBRATE LIFE! Hospice is a set of services that we all may need someday -- if not for ourselves, for our family or friends.

While death is not an option for any of us, we do have choices about the services we use at the end of life. Hospice is undoubtedly the best option in the last months of life because it offers a whole variety of benefits, not only to those of us who are dying, but also to those we leave behind. Yet, despite its many advantages, hospice is still a mystery to most Americans, even 25 years after its introduction to this country. Now, more than ever, there is a sense of urgency to dispel the myths and to learn as much as possible about hospice. After all, when Bella Care Hospice is involved with people, the quote we hear most often is “I wish that we had learned about this sooner.”

When death is in sight, there are two options: submit without hope or live life as fully as ever until the end. The gift of hospice is its capacity to help families see how much can be shared at the end of life through personal and spiritual connections often left behind. It is no wonder that many family members can look back upon their hospice experience with gratitude, and with the knowledge that everything possible was done towards a peaceful death.

The Bella Team, including our very own veteran volunteer, Randy, had the privilege of accompanying Richard to Veteran’s Memorial in downtown Columbus.

We are so thankful for the service of these two gentlemen, and we were honored to be by their side. Thank you. 🇺🇸 💜

So much to celebrate yesterday!

We had a full house with an all-staff meeting, a Hospice 101 educational presentation, and many reasons for celebration.

🎶 Together in Perfect Harmony 🎶

Recently, we had the honor of planning one of the BEST moments we have experienced- all for our sweet patient Mary Ann.

Mary Ann was part of the Columbus Chorus Sweet Adeline for over 40 years. Her original quartet, along with 33 other amazing women from the Chorus, all sang with Mary Ann and her family. 🎵 💜

This performance was one of the Chorus largest afternoon concerts ever!

Special thank you to our awesome Social Worker, Lexie, who worked tirelessly to make this happen.

We hope you loved it, Mary Ann. The honor was ours! 😇 💜

Making this wish come true for Morgan was everything❣️

We truly loved the chance to make this one come to life. The Highland Cow is Morgan’s favorite animal. Her room is completely decorated in the theme, and she wanted to see and pet one- and the exceptional Bella Care team made it happen. 🐮

This was a hit for Morgan, her family, friends, and the staff of both the facility and the Hospice.

Thank you, Morgan, for giving us this incredible memory. We hope you enjoyed as much as we did!

We are so proud to announce that the Volunteer of the 2nd Quarter for Bella Care Hospice is Randy!

Randy serves as a Veteran Volunteer at a local skilled nursing facility, and makes companionship visits with our Veterans on a weekly basis.

Randy was presented the award by our Volunteer Coordinator, Kendra, during his annual evaluation as they were having lunch at his favorite bar, "Nasty's Sports Bar & Restaurant" in Hilliard. He was so thankful for this honor and really enjoys serving our Veterans. He shared with Kendra that he enjoys volunteering and meeting Veterans and if he can get a smile out of each patient during our visits, then my day is made by that simple expression."

Congratulations, Randy! We are so blessed to have you. Thank you! 💜
