Looking for a comprehensive overview of how quality performance and reimbursement intersect in skilled nursing facilities? Register for the 2026 Managing Reimbursement and Quality Metrics Update!

Participants will:

✔️ Explore federal and state quality measurement programs.
✔️ Gain a deeper understanding of quality measure calculations and reports.
✔️ Learn practical strategies to improve performance outcomes.

This two-day training will provide an in-depth review of Medicare reimbursement under the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM), including rate components, key drivers, calculations, interrupted stay policy and required and optional assessments.

Attendees will also receive updates on the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Quality Reporting Program and Value-Based Purchasing, including current and future measures and how quality performance affects the Annual Payment Update.

October is Residents’ Rights Month, a time to recognize and protect the rights of long-term care residents and reaffirm the importance of dignity, respect and quality of life.

In honor of Residents’ Rights Month, the Ohio Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman is launching the Ohio Residents’ Rights Council, a statewide group for nursing home resident council presidents to share experiences, exchange best practices and discuss issues affecting residents.

As we move into the colder months, taking preventive measures to help reduce the spread of infectious diseases is especially important in Ohio’s nursing home communities. Both residents and staff play an important role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a new video with helpful guidance to support infection prevention in long-term care communities.

From keeping hands and surfaces clean to wearing a mask when sick, everyone can take steps to help protect residents and reduce the spread of illness.
