Four years ago today, my husband and I bought our home together as husband and wife here in Columbus, Ohio. โค๏ธ๐ก
Leaving family and friends wasn't easy, but we both knew God was
leading us to Westerville. Looking back, there were so many little
signs along the way. While still in Pennsylvania, we spotted a tiny
"Westerville, Ohio" sticker on a van, saw a random BMW with a "PSU & OSU" license plate, and even our movers shared that their last clients were moving to Dublin, Ohio, where my daughter lives. It truly felt like God was confirming every step.
We came to Ohio with nine houses to see during one of the craziest housing markets. The first wanted $60K over asking. The second needed months before we could move in. Then we walked into house #3, a beautiful ranch, in an amazing neighborhood, vacant, move-in ready, and listed at asking price. We went to lunch, signed the contract, and never looked back.
In just four years, this home has held birthdays, BBQs, pool parties, graduations, gender reveals, baptisms, holidays, and unforgettable family memories. It's also carried us through surgeries, job loss, and saying goodbye to beloved fur babies.
This is where we've welcomed our grandson, cuddled while cheering on the Phillies and Eagles, met incredible neighbors who became friends, started new jobs, and welcomed new fur babies into our family.
A house becomes a home because of the love, faith, and memories made inside it. Whether God keeps us here for years to come or leads us on
another adventure, Westerville will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Grateful for every blessing, every lesson, and every memory.
