Let’s remember how much our teachers do - they are not babysitters - they are our children’s constant daily contacts and influencers . Their value is always underestimated. Get to know your child’s teachers well and let them know you recognize their worth.

It’s Su***de Prevention Month - asking the tough questions does NOT trigger the ideas - so please ask and offer support ! šŸ’™šŸ©µā™„ļø

Asking someone if they’re thinking about su***de does not put the idea in their head. Asking a question can open a door to honesty and connection when someone needs it most.

This Su***de Prevention Awarneness Month, we’re reframing what su***de prevention can look like. Prevention lives in the everyday moments when we choose to listen, care, notice our friends, and remind each other and ourselves: You don’t have to carry this alone.

Prevention looks like asking and being open to an honest answer.

If you or someone you know is struggling or thinking about su***de, The Trevor Project is available to support you 24/7/365, free and secure. Call 1-866-488-386, text ā€˜START’ to 678-678 or visit thetrevorproject.org/get-help/ to connect to a trained counselor right now.

We’re always here for you. 🧔

Why Early Intervention Matters: Small Steps Can Create Big Changes

You notice your baby isn't doing something other children their age are doing, and suddenly a simple question can turn into a lot of worry: "Should I wait and see?" Early intervention is about recognizing a child's strengths and supporting their development as early as possible, rather than waiting for challenges to become bigger. During the first three years of life, a child's brain is developing rapidly, creating countless opportunities to build connections through movement, communication, play, and relationships. Early support can help children strengthen skills in areas such as speech and language, movement, learning, social-emotional development, and everyday activities. It can also give parents practical strategies they can use during ordinary routines like mealtime, bath time, play, and getting dressed.

Early intervention isn't about putting a label on a child or predicting their future—it is about giving them tools and opportunities to thrive. Sometimes support may be needed for a short period, while other children may benefit from continued services as they grow. Just as importantly, early intervention supports the whole family by helping parents understand their child's development and feel more confident responding to their individual needs. You don't have to wait until you're certain something is wrong to ask questions or seek guidance. When we respond early, we create more opportunities for children to practice skills, build confidence, and participate more fully in the world around them. Early intervention isn't about changing who a child is; it's about meeting them where they are and helping them discover what they can do.
