Many of my clients are highly sensitive, intuitive, or spiritually oriented people who have spent years trying to fit into systems that didn’t quite fit them.

Counseling can be a place to bring forth your sensitivity — not hide it.

A space to deeply listen to your whole self — emotional, spiritual, and physical — including your relationship with food.

I’m currently opening a few spots for online counseling in NY and NJ.

This work allows you to be fully seen and heard, without being pathologized.

𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬. Dieter’s often try to “push off” breakfast or lunch creating a higher risk for emotional eating.

𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙-𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 or else you’re more likely to turn to food for comfort.

𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗘 𝗜𝗡. Ask yourself, “What am I feeling?” “What do I really need?”

𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙-𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡. Talk to yourself how you would talk to your best friend and squash that inner critic.

𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗔𝗬, “𝗡𝗢." Avoid people pleasing and the resentment that follows.

𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗠. Where can you let go? Is it that serious?

𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 especially if you find yourself saying, “I feel bad….” often.

𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 Stretch, walk, dance. Shake up and release stuck emotions.

𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡. Breathe and resist the urge to allow your mind go too far into the future.

𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗣𝗛𝗬𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦. Shorter time frames, hotels, closed doors, breaks, naps, etc.

It is possible to end your emotional eating and heal your relationship with food.

We can avoid a lot of things for a really long time, but when our clothes start to get tight, we pay attention!

Stress, work, kids, our moods, thoughts, and relationships all affect how we eat and care for ourselves.

Studies repeatedly show that most women (90%) will see their body in a negative way, and men, too, especially as they get older.

And the truth is, if you are imagining your body in the negative way, it’s likely very different from how others view it.
