Many parents have been struggling to limit screen time. Here are a few tips:

- Go easy on yourself. These current challenges are unprecedented and there is no rule book. You are doing the best you can and kids are remarkably resilient.

- Make a plan. If you even ATTEMPT to set boundaries, you will experience less screen time than if you were starting without a schedule.

- As always, never let screens interfere with sleep, mental health, or physical activity.

- Try to go 2 hours screen free before bedtime (parents, too!)

Generally speaking, kids must stay home from school if they have had a fever in the past 24 hours. Otherwise, symptoms can be evaluated on an individual basis. For example, runny noses may be due to seasonal allergies or common viruses. In most cases, runny noses can be treated with supportive care and the child can be sent to school without restrictions.
