✨ This patient is 8 weeks post op after an upper eyelid blepharoplasty.
At this time patients are well into the healing process, but it’s still normal for healing to continue. Here’s what is commonly expected:
▫️Mild residual swelling, especially in the morning or after a long day.
▫️Incisions that are pink or slightly red but gradually fading. You can cover incision line with makeup as soon as 2 weeks post op.
▫️Some firmness or lumpiness along the incision as scar tissue remodels.
▫️Tightness or mild numbness of the eyelids, which often continues to improve over several months.
▫️The eyelids may not look perfectly symmetrical yet, as one side can heal faster than the other.
▫️Most scars continue to soften and fade over 3–12 months, and subtle swelling can also take several months to completely resolve.
