Heart disease is still the leading cause of death among women, and in the U.S. a heart attack happens roughly every 43 seconds.
Here's the problem: the warning signs most of us know are the ones men get. For women, a heart attack is more likely to show up as nausea, jaw pain, or extreme fatigue, symptoms that are easy to brush off as something else.
Knowing these signs is half the battle. The other half is knowing your personal risk before an emergency ever happens, and that takes a physician with time to look at your full picture, from blood pressure to family history to the risk factors unique to women.
That's a conversation we're always ready to have at [PRACTICE NAME]. Bring it up at your next visit, or if we haven't met yet, schedule a time to come talk with us through the link in our bio.
