Happy Wellness Wednesday! 🤍🩺

Today our residents enjoyed their monthly vital checks with our nurse, monthly weigh-ins, and time to connect with our wonderful vendor partners! Our partners shared helpful tips on fall prevention and staying safe, giving our residents valuable tools to support their health and well-being.

To top off our wellness-filled day, our culinary team prepared fresh and delicious yogurt parfaits for a healthy sweet treat! 🍓🥣

Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly when we attend Mass, and we are especially blessed to have Patty and Terry, who generously volunteer their time to bring Communion to our residents.

This month for Story Corner, we read “Lila Greer, Teacher of the Year” by Andrea Beaty. We followed the story of young Lila, who, after being positively influenced by her teacher, Ms. Kern, grows up to become a teacher herself. As Lila prepares to meet her new students, she begins to feel worried, but she remembers the important lesson Ms. Kern taught her: sometimes the most meaningful thing a teacher can give a child is kindness and the feeling that they are seen, valued, and welcomed 🫶🏻

After finishing our story, we created our own personal fortune tellers filled with positive affirmations to read whenever we’re feeling nervous or need a little reminder of how wonderful we are! 🌟
