We ended the week with an early Grandparents
day celebration! We started the day with stuffed berry french toast and bacon.
We had 2 amazing caricature artists come in, a photo booth, Betty knows Best booth and Carmel apple cups for lunch dessert.
Betty is our 100 yr old resident that spent 2 hours of her day answering any and all questions from anyone and everyone. Her quick and clever answers were classic Betty!
Happy Grandparents Day to everyone! If you have a grandparent at the Village of Westland

Our end of summer blues party was a hit!
Grilled chicken, broccoli salad, Mac and cheese deviled eggs and Italian ice for dessert. Amazing entertainment from Kevin K. We hate to see summer come to an end but at the Village of Westland we love to have a reason to party.

Today at the Village we learned how to make lemon sugar scrub! It’s always fun to make something useful with things you already have in your pantry!
When we got done everyone had their own jar to take home! Great job everyone

Very hot but fun couple days at the Village of Westland Main and cottage. Yesterday the ice cream truck came for a visit. Today at the main building we made bee hotels to help the bee populations and had a water balloon fight out in the courtyard! We love summer at the Village!

The month of July is dedicated to the Dog Days of Summer at the Village of Westland. We will have a collection box in the lobby of our main building and at Rose Cottage for the entire month of July. Let’s help our neighbors, the Westland humane society with some needed
donations. Thank you in advance to all who help us on our mission of love.

2026 Victory Cup is officially over! Great job to all residents that practiced, participated and competed! This is one of our favorite days of the year, we love to see the competitiveness between our groups of seniors. It was a full day of walking, hoop shoot, bag toss, puzzler and balloon volleyball.Til next time VC
