I was ask the question. Is there a good day to die. Death is the last thing we want to talk about.

IS THERE A GOOD DAY TO DIE?

Most of us would probably answer, “No. Not today.”

There are still people we love.
There are still things we want to accomplish.
There are still places we want to go.
There are still words we want to say.

But Scripture reminds us that there is “a time to be born, and a time to die.” — Ecclesiastes 3:2

So maybe the real question is not, “Is there a good day to die?”

Maybe the question is:

“Have I lived in such a way that whenever that day comes, I am ready?”

We spend so much time preparing for tomorrow that sometimes we forget that tomorrow was never promised to us.

A good life is not measured simply by how many years we lived. It is measured by what we did with the years God gave us.

Did I love?

Did I forgive?

Did I serve?

Did I obey God?

Did I tell the people who mattered that I loved them?

Did I fulfill my purpose?

Paul could say, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” — Philippians 1:21

Paul wasn’t looking for death.

He had simply learned how to live so completely for God that death could no longer frighten him.

So is there a good day to die?

Maybe there is no day we would choose.

But there can be a day when we can say:

My heart is right with God.
My love has been given.
My forgiveness has been released.
My assignment has been honored.
And whatever day God chooses, I am in His hands.

Psalm 90:12 says:

“Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

Don’t spend your life trying to find a good day to die.

Spend your life making every day a good day to live.

Because when you live every day with God, you don’t have to fear your final day with God.
