Every week at Sound Relief Westminster, we hear patients describe their tinnitus in a different way. Some hear ringing, others buzzing, hissing, even a roaring sound. 🎧 No two experiences are exactly alike, and we want to hear yours.

Recognize the sound? Send this to someone who needs to see it. ❤️

Here’s what we want every patient to understand: you’re not alone in this, and you don’t have to just live with it. Tinnitus is treatable, and relief is closer than you think. ✨

Questions about your tinnitus? Ask away below, we’re here to help! 👇

⚠️ Don't look at the comments until you've tried it.

How "old" are your ears? No shame...we are all somewhere on this scale.😢 👂🎧

Watch the video all the way through, then tell us the last age you could hear before the sound disappeared. 👇

🏆 Bonus challenge: Tag a friend and see who has the "younger" ears.

This is just a fun challenge, not a diagnostic hearing test. If your result surprises you, a comprehensive hearing evaluation can tell you exactly how your hearing is doing. 💙
If your result surprised you, the Westminster Sound Relief Team can tell you exactly where you stand with a comprehensive hearing evaluation.

Why “ignoring tinnitus” doesn’t work. 🧬

Tinnitus engages the limbic system — the part of the brain responsible for the “fight or flight” response. Over time, that constant cognitive load can lead to exhaustion, anxiety, and even depression.

In this video, Dr. Julie Prutsman explains:
✅ Why tinnitus is closely linked to depression
✅ Why the “just live with it” advice fails so many patients
✅ How specialized care can help restore quality of life

If tinnitus is affecting your daily life, this is an important conversation to hear.

Is a truly invisible hearing aid actually possible?

Dr. Julie explains how Lyric® works — the world’s only 100% invisible, extended-wear hearing solution.

No daily charging. No removal. No visible device.

If you’ve been putting off treating hearing loss because of how hearing aids look or feel, this is worth watching.

Our Westminster team had a blast supporting Tinnitus Awareness at Texas Roadhouse.

All proceeds from the evening went to the American Tinnitus Association, helping support education, research, and advocacy for those living with tinnitus.

We are proud to be part of a community that shows up, supports one another, and helps bring awareness to something that impacts so many lives.

Thank you to Texas Roadhouse and everyone who joined us!

The holidays are joyful… but they can also be loud and that can leave your ears and your energy feeling drained.

Busy restaurants, overlapping conversations, holiday music, clattering dishes… your brain is working overtime to sort it all out. This is very common for anyone with tinnitus, hearing loss, or sound sensitivity.

You may notice:
• Feeling tired or overwhelmed
• Trouble following conversations
• A temporary spike in tinnitus

Nothing is wrong, your brain is simply doing more than usual.

A few holiday hearing tips:
• Take short quiet breaks
• Use gentle background sound
• Pace yourself in noisy rooms

If your ears feel “extra overwhelmed” this season, our Westminster team is here to help with a calm, supportive environment and zero holiday music on loop. ❤️

We are excited to announce that we are celebrating 10 amazing years with Dr. Leah Mitchell, Au.D., CH-TM!

Her kindness, calm presence, and dedication have made such a difference for our patients and our Westminster community.

Over the years, many patients have watched her daughters grow up through the photos in her office; a small but meaningful reminder of the long-lasting relationships she builds. Dr. Leah says time has flown, but she still loves telling patients, “tinnitus can be treated,” and walking alongside them on that journey.

Outside the clinic, she stays active and adventurous; and according to her neighbor, she’s officially entered her pickleball era. 😉

Thank you, Dr. Leah, for a decade of care, compassion, and the joy you bring to Sound Relief. 💛

Help us celebrate her in the comments! 👇
