September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month 💜🩵

This month is an important reminder that conversations about mental health matter. Checking in, listening without judgment, recognizing when someone may be struggling, and helping them connect with support can make a meaningful difference.

You don’t need to have the perfect words to reach out. Sometimes simply asking, “How are you really doing?” can open the door to a conversation someone needs.

Let’s continue working toward a community where asking for help is encouraged, mental health is talked about openly, and no one feels they have to struggle alone.

đź’ś Hope. Support. Healing.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a suicidal or mental health crisis, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. If there is an immediate life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Avoidance can feel like relief in the moment—but that relief usually doesn’t last. 💭

When something makes us feel anxious, overwhelmed, uncertain, or afraid of failing, putting it off can temporarily make those uncomfortable feelings disappear. The problem? The task is still waiting for us, and it can feel even bigger the next time we face it.

Instead of criticizing yourself for avoiding something, try getting curious about what’s making it difficult to start.

What are you feeling? What thoughts are coming up? Can you make the task smaller? What’s one step you could take today?

You don’t have to wait until the anxiety disappears or until you feel completely ready. Sometimes progress starts by taking one small action while the discomfort is still there.

Swipe ➡️ for 5 steps to help break the avoidance cycle—and remember:

💚 “Avoidance can make you feel better in the moment—but keep you stuck in the long run.”

Save this for the next time you catch yourself putting off something that’s weighing on you.

Your day is over… so why is your brain still going? 🧠

For many adults with ADHD, having nothing to do doesn’t automatically mean feeling relaxed. You might finally sit down, only to start thinking about tomorrow’s responsibilities, something you forgot earlier, or all the things you could be doing instead.

ADHD, everyday stress, difficulty transitioning between activities, and even guilt about not being productive can make it surprisingly hard to switch from “ON” to “OFF.”

In our latest blog, we explore why downtime can feel so difficult with Adult ADHD, how CBT can help with the thoughts that keep us in “go mode,” and practical strategies for helping your brain transition into genuine rest.

💚 Remember: You don’t have to finish everything before you’re allowed to rest.

You finally have nothing to do. The workday is over. The errands are finished. No one needs anything from you right now. You sit down, ready to enjoy some well-earned downtime. But your brain has other plans. Did I forget to respond to that email? What do I have tomorrow? I should probably p

One key way to improve your brain health is getting good SLEEP. Read this important article!

Your brain doesn’t recover while you’re awake—it recovers while you sleep. Sleep is not passive rest. It is an active neurological process that supports memory consolidation, emotional regulation, cellular repair, and the brain’s waste-clearance system. Chronic sleep deprivation can graduall...

Is it hunger—or something else?

Menopause can bring changes in sleep, mood, stress, energy, appetite, and even how you feel about your body. And when you're exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, or simply not feeling like yourself, food can sometimes become a source of comfort.

Emotional eating isn't simply about willpower. Understanding why you're reaching for food can be an important first step toward changing your relationship with it.

In our latest blog, we explore the connection between menopause and emotional eating, how to recognize physical vs. emotional hunger, and how CBT and mindfulness can help create a pause between a craving and your response.

đź’— The goal isn't perfect eating. It's greater awareness, curiosity, and choice.

If you've noticed changes in your appetite, cravings, or relationship with food during menopause, you're not alone. Menopause can coincide with changes in sleep, mood, stress, energy, appetite, metabolism, and body image. When several of these changes happen at once, you may find yourself reaching

Grief doesn’t come with a schedule. 💚

There’s no set amount of time when you’re supposed to feel “better,” and grief doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

Some days may feel incredibly heavy. Other days, you might laugh, enjoy yourself, or realize you went several hours without thinking about your loss. You may feel sadness, anger, guilt, exhaustion, relief, numbness—or several emotions at once.

All of those experiences can be part of grieving.

Healing also doesn’t mean forgetting, and moving forward doesn’t mean leaving someone or something meaningful behind. You can carry what mattered to you while slowly making room for new experiences, connections, and moments of joy.

Be patient with yourself. Talk when you need to talk. Rest when you need to rest. Ask for support when carrying everything on your own feels too heavy.

And remember: experiencing happiness again does not diminish the love, connection, or meaning of what you lost.

There is no perfect way to grieve. Take it one day—and sometimes one moment—at a time. 💚

Is your to-do list helping you stay organized… or making you more anxious?

To-do lists are supposed to make life feel more manageable. But when every unfinished task feels urgent, you feel guilty for taking a break, or you’re constantly thinking about what you haven’t accomplished, productivity can quickly turn into pressure.

In our latest blog, we’re looking at how to recognize when your to-do list may be fueling anxiety—and simple ways to make your responsibilities feel more manageable without expecting yourself to do everything at once.

Sometimes a successful day isn’t about doing everything. It’s about recognizing when you’ve done enough. 💚

To-do lists are supposed to make life easier. We write things down so we don't have to keep everything in our heads. We organize our responsibilities, prioritize what needs to happen, and hopefully get the satisfying feeling of crossing something off when it's finished. But sometimes, a to-do list

Surgery changes your stomach—but lasting success begins in your mind. 💚
