TikTok has been selling women GLP-1 patches and powders that are not the FDA-approved shots. If that video looked easier than a clinic visit, that frustration is real, and it is still not a prescription.

On September 9 the Endocrine Society said obesity affects over **40%** of American adults, and treatment should improve health, not just the number on the scale. Real GLP-1 medicines are one tool with a monitoring plan. Shop powder is not.

Make sure your GLP-1 source is a medical provider who can give accurate information and oversight, and that the product contains what it claims. Ask your clinician for an FDA-approved or trusted compounding option, and report the powder videos. Do not inject a GLP-1 from a non-clinician, regardless of their source claims.
