Have you ever noticed how anxiety doesn’t just make you worry… it convinces you its worries are facts?
It whispers things like:
• “They’re mad at me.”
• “I said the wrong thing.”
• “I’m too much.”
• “If I disappoint someone, they’ll leave.”
• “I have to earn my worth.”
• “Everyone else knows what they’re doing except me.”
The tricky part? Anxiety is really convincing.
It can make assumptions feel like certainty and fear feel like truth.
But thoughts aren’t facts. They’re mental events influenced by your experiences, your nervous system, and the stories you’ve learned to tell yourself over time.
The goal isn’t to never have anxious thoughts. It’s to get better at noticing them without automatically believing them.
Which one has anxiety tried to convince you of lately?
