Born on August 21, 1921, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Laura has lived a remarkable 105 years filled with faith, family, strength, laughter, tradition, and love.

For 24 years, Laura has called Weston home, and today she is a treasured member of our Jubilee Assisted Living family.

Her life has spanned more than a century of history—from the Great Depression and World War II to the moon landing, the internet, smartphones, and beyond. Through all that change, the things that mattered most to Laura remained beautifully constant: her faith, her family, and her love for others.
On August 21, we will gather with Laura's family, friends, Jubilee family, and community to celebrate not simply an incredible milestone...but a life beautifully lived.

Our Jubilee family has experienced a tremendous loss with the passing of our beloved Flavie.

For more than ten years, Flavie faithfully cared for our residents with extraordinary compassion, kindness, and love. She wasn’t just part of our staff—she became part of our family. Her beautiful spirit left an imprint on everyone she met.

Today, we ask our Jubilee family, friends, and community to come together to support the people she loved most—her six children, including Rosie and Tatiana, who have also faithfully served our residents over the years.

To help ease the financial burden during this difficult time, we have created a GoFundMe to assist with funeral expenses and to support the family as they navigate the days ahead.

If you feel led, any gift—large or small—will be deeply appreciated. If you are unable to give financially, we ask that you keep Flavie’s family in your prayers and share this fundraiser with others.

Today, I’m simply overwhelmed with gratitude.

Above all, I thank God for His amazing grace, His faithfulness, and the many blessings He has poured into my life. Even in life’s challenges, He has been my strength, my comfort, and my guide.

I’m thankful for this beautiful country and the freedoms we are blessed to enjoy. 🇺🇸

I’m thankful for my family—the people God has entrusted to me, who fill my life with love, laughter, and purpose.

And I’m especially thankful for the families who have trusted us with the care of their loved ones. Caring for seniors isn’t just our profession—it’s our calling. We are humbled every day by the trust you place in us, and we strive to serve each resident with compassion, dignity, and love.

My prayer is that God will continue to bless our nation, strengthen our families, and remind us that our greatest hope is found in Him.
