Today for nature club we stayed local and wondered among the wild flowers at The Wild Sonflower . Our turn out was a smaller than normal due to the rain but we still had a great time! It was such a beautiful place to take a little time, breathe, and wander. Stay tuned for next month’s nature club location it’s going to be fun!

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The Lewis/Upshur Community Recovery Center and One Unique Recovery (OUR) House recognized International Overdose Awareness Day Monday with a day of education, remembrance and community events.

Yesterday was our most somber day of the year. National Overdose Awareness Day and man it always hits hard. We paired up with One Unique Recovery House to help spread awareness and remember those that lost their battle. We did a short recovery walk and got a lot of beautiful community support! We had a beautiful video tribute that Megan created to honor those lost and we had speakers in recovery share stories. There was also food from OUR House, free narcan, and help available to anyone in need, lots of singing, hugs, and love and support for one another!

We are a little behind on posting as we’ve been so busy the past couple weeks! But our last nature club was another great success and enjoyed by so many! Keep an eye out for our next one on upcoming calendar! We hope to see you there!
