Surgery is always a journey and a process built on a partnership, great communication, , trust and patience. It requires a team, including the loved ones to help at home when available or somebody else who can substitute such as a capable friend or a nurse , and a good follow up process to ensure that the healing and recovery are optimized.

I love to share the raw and real process with transparency so everyone can see the journey first hand.

There can be bumps along the way, it maybe smooth sailing, but either way the partnership and the process need to function well to get too the destination in style.

She underwent a secondary face and neck lift and facial fat grafting. I expect her to do very well.

With so much on social media these days and so many people talking about so many things I also I’m trying to figure out a few things on my own and of my own.

This is an interesting encounter I had with a patient today that I felt worth sharing with you.

Do listen.

Would love feedback from all of you.

As I have started this conversation about what I refer to as the messy middle, one way to delve into it deeper is to describe a few examples of what actually constitutes the messy middle , the healing period and what types of things can happen.

Here I describe an unexpected event that constitutes the messy middle for this particular patient that I’m currently taking care of. I will try and share such examples with you.

Surgery is always a journey and most of the time it is and can be an empowering and a beautiful journey and creates great outcomes, but the messy middle has to be navigated carefully and thoughtfully with some patience.

Around the time in preparation and after facelift surgery, managing hair is a thing.

Washing, coloring, managing hair can be challenging but it doesn’t have to be.

Listen to Desiree , a hair care professional, from the powder room in davie , FL who happens to help her sister-in-law after facelift surgery.

We are a comprehensive practice with relationships with many professionals to help manage and navigate all aspects of the pre and post operation process for patients after facial surgery.

What are some common questions that patients should discuss with the surgeon and What are the clarifications that the surgeon should discuss with the patient?

There are a lot of opinions about this but much of it maybe anecdotal. There have to be logical explanations!!!

There have to be anatomical, physics and artistic based explanations!!!!!

I will share in this series as we move forward!!!!
