There’s nothing quite like getting together over a good meal.

Scott, the Lifestyle Director, joined residents Aldo, Clint, Dick, Mario, and David for a Veterans Luncheon at Bass River Grille, with Roy, the Transportation Coordinator, along for the afternoon. It was a chance to enjoy lunch, swap stories, share a few laughs, and spend time together.

Recently, Maplewood at Darien hosted an Associate Farmers Market, giving the team the chance to shop a wonderful selection of fresh produce and take home some favorites. It was a small way to celebrate the people who bring care, compassion, and commitment to our community every day.

There was no shortage of creativity during this hands-on craft session. Residents turned natural scallop shells into one-of-a-kind keepsake compacts, adding mirrors, pearls, gold details, and decorative patterns to make each piece their own.

Watching every design come together was just as enjoyable as seeing the finished creations, and each resident left with a beautiful keepsake that reflects their personal style.

There was plenty of sweetness to go around at Maplewood at Orange as they celebrated W***y Wonka Day with a help-yourself candy bar!

There’s something special about bringing generations together, especially when a simple game of bingo becomes the start of genuine friendships.

Through Maplewood at Southport’s partnership with the Staples High School football team, student-athletes regularly spend time with residents, sharing conversation, laughter, and plenty of friendly competition. Along the way, both generations have the opportunity to learn from one another and discover just how much they have in common.

What began as a community service initiative has grown into a partnership centered on friendship, respect, and the value of staying connected across generations.

Our residents at Cuyahoga Falls enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Gaga for Goats, where they had the opportunity to interact with a variety of friendly animals and enjoy the peaceful farm setting.

From cuddling bunnies to feeding goats, ducks, and chickens, every stop brought a new experience and plenty of smiles. The outing gave residents the chance to enjoy the outdoors, connect with the animals, and spend quality time together while making lasting memories.

We love creating opportunities for residents to explore what the surrounding community has to offer, try something new, and enjoy afternoons like this together.
