🚨 LOOK WHAT HAS ARRIVED FOR HUNTER!!
After seeing Hunter’s story in the news/media, the incredible people at Talking Keyboards reached out to us and offered to send Hunter one of their Talking Keyboards as a gift 🥹
And IT’S HERE!! ⌨️
You guys know how important typing has become for Hunter. He may not communicate with spoken words, but give this kid a keyboard and he has SO much to say!!!!
That’s why this is such a cool addition to his communication toolbox.
Hunter can simply type what he wants to say on the keyboard… and the speaker says it out loud for him 🔊⌨️
No navigating through pages of symbols. No searching for the right button. He can type whatever is on his mind and have it spoken aloud.
And just to be clear, this isn’t replacing his AAC device. If you’ve followed us for a while, you know I’m a huge believer that there is no ONE “right” way to communicate. Hunter uses his AAC, typing, gestures, facial expressions, my keyboard tattoo and so many other ways to make himself understood.
Now he has one more option ❤️❤️❤️
I’m incredibly grateful to Talking Keyboards for seeing Hunter’s story and wanting to put another communication tool directly into his hands.
We’re going to spend some time letting Hunter explore it and figure out how he likes to use it, he has already typed a few messages for me on it and I’ll absolutely be sharing videos on how it works and Hunter using it 🥰
And for my fellow AAC families, especially those with kids who LOVE to type, Talking Keyboards is definitely worth checking out.
