💙 Every child with PANDAS/PANS is different, & their treatment should be too.

🌿 Dr. Trifiletti’s approach begins with a detailed evaluation to identify potential triggers of a PANS episode & uses those
findings to create an individualized treatment plan.

Treatment may include:
🧪 Blood testing to identify potential triggers
💊 Anti-inflammatory medications, antibiotics or antivirals when appropriate
🧬 A thorough evaluation of the immune system
💧 IVIG when clinically indicated
While IVIG can be an important option for some children,fewer than 10% of patients in our practice require it.

💙 The focus is on understanding each child’s unique situation, identifying what may be contributing to their symptoms, & tailoring treatment accordingly, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

✏ 🍎 It’s Almost Back-to-School! 📚
A new school year means fresh starts, new teachers, & exciting opportunities, but it also brings an increase in seasonal illnesses. 🤧
Strep, Coxsackie, Mycoplasma, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, & other common infections tend to circulate as students head back to the classroom. For children with
PANDAS/PANS, these illnesses can sometimes trigger symptom flares.

💙 If you notice changes in your child’s symptoms, don’t wait. Please reach out to our office. We’re here to help guide you through every step.

📋 If your child is already a patient in our practice, we can also assist with 504 Plans or IEP accommodations to help support a successful school year.
