June 11-17 is National Nursing Assistant Week!

We're proud to celebrate the compassionate, skilled, and dedicated nursing assistants (NAs) who make a difference in the lives of our patients every day, both at South Shore Hospital MA and at the Ambulatory Surgical Center at the South Shore Health Outpatient Care Center.

Whether providing hands-on care, offering comfort during difficult moments, or supporting their teammates, our NAs are an essential part of delivering exceptional care.

We're excited to share that this year's edition of Kickin' Up Country raised $28,700!

On Monday, we hosted our annual Legislative Breakfast, proudly welcoming local State Senators and State Representatives to South Shore Hospital.

At the breakfast, elected officials met with Allen Smith, MD, MS, President & CEO, South Shore Health, Joe Driscoll, SVP & General Counsel, South Shore Health, and other senior leaders from across the Health System to learn more about the advanced care we provide to the community and to discuss current challenges and opportunities in healthcare.

We’re grateful to be able to have these conversations with our elected officials and we appreciate their continued support of South Shore Health and its colleagues.

We’d like to thank Girl Scout Troop 70755 for their donation of Girl Scout cookies to our South Shore Health EMS colleagues!

This generous troop recently visited our EMS Operations Facility in Weymouth to meet our EMS colleagues and drop off several boxes of sweet treats, which our team certainly appreciated.

The cookies were donated to the troop by members of the community via the troop’s booths and door-to-door sales, with the troop then donating the cookies to local first responders.

As part of their visit, the troop received a tour of our ambulances and learned more about the role of today’s EMS caregivers.
