Hello, I’m Izaak Herman! I am intern counselor with Connections Counseling.

I focus on supporting people who are navigating anxiety, depression, and life-transitions. I believe that everyone has an innate ability to grow and heal using the wisdom and knowledge of their bodies. I draw upon somatic and body-based techniques, a relational approach, person-centered therapy, and narrative therapy. I also base my therapeutic approach off each of my client’s unique lived experiences, identities, social and cultural context, and what is most important to them. I believe the relationship between the therapist and client is vital to the client’s healing and growth; I value building safety and trust with clients. I bring a sense of humor, gentleness, and warmth into sessions with clients.
