I am honored to join Women’s Health Advocates for a Hispanic Heritage Month panel on women’s health on Thursday, October 15th.

Latinas often have hot flashes and night sweats that last years longer. Many reach menopause earlier. We’ll talk about hormone therapy, what it can and can’t do, and the questions every woman should bring to her next visit.

Menopause isn’t something to endure. It’s a stage of life that deserves real care.

When we founded MyMenopauseRx, I had 2 missions:

✔️ Improve access to evidence-based, insurance-covered perimenopause and menopause care.

✔️ Be a great place to work for my colleagues.

Today I was reminded we ‘re fulfilling both. 💜

Jenny was my ultrasonographer for years at MyMenopauseRx Gynecology. When I closed our sister practice to focus on improving access to care nationwide, saying goodbye to her was one of the hard parts.

Here’s why her return means so much to me:

Jenny is also a medical assistant and a mom who wanted to balance her career and motherhood. I’ve been doing that same balancing act for many years myself. So when Jenny reached out to say she missed working with me ☺️, and asked about our virtual medical assistant role, I immediately told my operations manager to welcome her back.

Women shouldn’t have to choose between motherhood and a career. When you build a great place to work, there is room for both. 💜

Yesterday I served on a panel at the Milken Institute in Washington DC.

WOW, right??

It was my privilege to share the truths from the trenches on the barriers many of our patients face obtaining menopause care and their treatments.

Change takes time but it was exciting to know women’s health is getting the attention it so desperately deserves.

I’m not good at politics or poker. But I’m excellent at telling the truth, and on Capitol Hill yesterday, someone had to.

I joined fellow Women’s Health Advocates for a Congressional Briefing on Menopause, where I was honored to speak on the panel and share truths from the trenches about insurance-covered perimenopause and menopause care.

Here’s what I covered:

✔️ What the annual well-woman visit can and can’t do for menopause care.

✔️ The real-life prior authorization gymnastics that keep women from their generic, FDA-approved treatments.

✔️ Why we need a perimenopause ICD-10 code (the diagnosis code that lets us track, study, and bill for it).

It was a privilege to share the stage with ACOG CEO Sandra Elaine Brooks, MD, MBA, FACOG, FACS; workplace education expert Kara Connell, MBA; and policy and thought leader Valerie Palmieri.

Laura Okafor of Perry and Claire Gill of The National Menopause Foundation hosted the briefing.

Liz Powell, Esq., MPH, of course was the glue to our advocacy!

It was a jam-packed day of seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

🙌 to all of you!

My “sixtylicious” birthday dump. 😎🎂

Turning 60 has me thinking less about looking younger and more about feeling strong, protecting my health, and staying active for the long haul.

So I put together a little peek at my personal health stack: the medications, skincare, nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle habits that work for me.

👉 Swipe through to see what’s on my list.

And just as importantly, there are plenty of trends I’m choosing to skip 🚫: Weighted vests, estriol face creams, NAD nasal sprays and supplements, “cortisol support,” compounded peptides… I’m not convinced I need them.

That doesn’t mean they’re right or wrong for everyone. As always, you do you! But I’m a big believer in focusing on the things that are evidence-based, sustainable, and actually make a difference.

Getting older isn’t something I’m trying to fight. I’m trying to do it well. 💪💜

This past weekend, my husband and I had the pleasure of spending time with Dr. Gelman, MyMenopauseRx Assistant Medical Director and his wife while they were visiting Chicago.

We laughed, talked about our kids, reminisced of our OB/GYN residency days and of course how we are so grateful for our amazing patients. 💜

I just knew my fellow Philadelphians were change makers!

It was my honor to speak at the .advocates breakfast on Friday morning.

We clarified what the removal of the black box warning meant for the use and prescribing of hormone therapy, untangled the truths about insurance coverage of hormone therapy, reviewed how evidence based menopause experts determine if the benefits of hormone therapy outweigh the risks and updated everyone on policy in Washington.

Most importantly, we LAUGHED together! Women’s healthcare is serious stuff, but laughter is also medicine 💜

Thank you BioLabs for hosting us in your fabulous space!

Hey fellow Philly ladies and Philly guys - let’s make some noise! 🎉

I grew up in Philadelphia, where I learned resilience, grit, to order my cheesesteak with “whiz and onions” and the importance of community. It’s where I gained the confidence to ask “Why”, and when told no, to say, “Ok, watch me”.

That is why it feels especially meaningful to be returning home next month to speak at the Women’s Health Breakfast hosted by Women’s Health Advocates.

Join me and powerhouse Liz Powell, Esq., MPH for a meaningful conversation about the future of women’s healthcare - from perimenopause and menopause to access, equity, and how we can improve the systems to truly support women.

Philadelphia has always been a place where bold ideas meet action. Collaboration is key and when women come together - we create change. 💪

Giving back to my local community is a pillar of my advocacy work devoted to improving access to evidence-based peri/menopause care.

When women’s healthcare is your life’s work, you know peri/menopause care involves far more than just writing a prescription for hormones.

This past week, I had the pleasure of speaking with an inspiring group of women in Wheaton, Illinois, who gathered at to learn how the menopause transition can be a turning point, not an ending.

We explored how movement is medicine and how strength training is a cornerstone of healthspan, helping women feel strong, confident, manage weight, and protect their bones from osteoporosis.

Every conversation like this reminds me why I started this journey to make expert, compassionate peri/menopause care accessible to every woman, everywhere. 💜

💥 Yesterday, I learned a new term - “Bone Attack.”
Let me explain… as estrogen levels fall during perimenopause, your bones start to lose density.

Over time, this increases your risk of osteoporosis and what we might call a bone attack, otherwise known as a fracture.

🦴 Here’s the good news: Hormone therapy can prevent fractures by protecting bone density.

❗ But not every woman can or wants to use hormone therapy. That leaves millions of women with osteopenia at risk of progressing to osteoporosis, often without even realizing it.

Yesterday, my esteemed friend and menopause care champion, Dr. Pam Peeke, Chief Medical Officer at Osteoboost, literally strapped their FDA-approved vibration belt onto my bo**ie so I could feel it in action! This innovative device is designed to treat osteopenia, preventing osteoporosis, supporting bone health in a whole new way.

Perimenopause and menopause are not just about hot flashes. Your bone health may be silent but it really matters.
