Anam joined Donka in January of 2025 as our Marketing, Communications & Development Specialist, and her story is a reflection of her journey living with low vision and how nonprofit organizations make a positive impact for people with disabilities in our local community.

✨We are honored to join this incredible mission so be sure to join Team Donka and walk alongside us as we come together to make a difference for the visually impaired community. Donka, Inc. will also be at a resource table from 9 AM – Noon, so stop by to learn more about how we empower individuals with visual impairments through our programs and services, including computer and assistive technology training, job readiness support, and accessibility resources.

❤️🤍💙 This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. As our nation celebrates America’s 250th birthday, Donka is proud to stand alongside those who have served by supporting veterans and active-duty service members through our Operation Brighter Future program - an initiative that helps veterans gain computer and assistive technology training, career readiness skills, and meaningful job placement opportunities right here in our local community.

🎉For a second year in a row, Donka, Inc. is honored to be selected as one of 25 charitable partners for ROCKIN’ FOR OUR VETS concert for charity featuring the legendary Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band at their only public concert of the year.

This year’s America 250 celebration, hosted by West Suburban Foundation for Disabled Veterans (WSFDV) in partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, will take place on Saturday, July 11th at Cantigny Park featuring a special performance by Hunter Girl.

Proceeds from this event go to charitable organizations that serve and uplift local veterans in our community, including Donka’s Operation Brighter Future program,

Tickets are live—and this one fills up fast! Rockin’ For Our Vets is back Saturday, July 11, with Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band returning to the stage for a night that brings great music and even greater purpose.
It’s the kind of summer evening made for those who love being around good company and giving back to the community when possible. Gates open at 2 pm, the opener kicks things off early, and the Lt. Dan Band hits the stage at 7 pm.

Tickets are $50 (+ $4 processing fee), and parking is included with shuttle service from off-site lots.
