We’re so glad to have three interns currently available who specifically work with people who don’t have insurance, can’t afford traditional rates, or are in a hardship situation:
Noelle Backode, Sophia Emmert, and Sophia Kim
They offer sessions on a sliding scale of $0–$30 depending on need. All three are completing their Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wheaton College and are supervised by our licensed team.
If money has been the main reason you’ve put off getting help, this might be a good fit.

We’re excited to welcome Joshua Elliott to the Stenzel Clinical Services team!
Josh (as he prefers to be called) brings a warm, trauma-informed, and values-driven approach to counseling. He works from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Person-Centered models, meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them through both everyday struggles and deeper challenges.
He holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College and a BA in Psychology from Texas A&M. Josh has experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings supporting people navigating substance use and process addictions, and he’s passionate about helping clients build resilience and restore hope.
His areas of focus include:

We’re excited to officially welcome Allan Griffith to the Stenzel Clinical Services team as a full-time therapist!

Allan spent last year with us as an intern, and we’re thrilled that he’s now joined our staff. He brings a rich background of more than 10 years of counseling experience in Brazil and the Middle East, working with people in high-risk and high-mobility environments. His approach is trauma-informed, experiential, and systems-oriented, drawing from Internal Family Systems, existential and phenomenological psychology, and hypnotherapy.

Allan specializes in areas including trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, men’s issues, relationship challenges, spiritual concerns, and more. He creates a compassionate space where clients can explore their stories with curiosity and without judgment.

We’re grateful to have him as part of the team and look forward to the care and insight he’ll continue to offer our clients.

We’re thrilled to share some great news!
Ethan Kile has completed his one-year internship with Stenzel Clinical Services and has officially joined our team as a full-time therapist.
Ethan earned his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College and brought genuine warmth, curiosity, and skill to every client interaction during his internship year. He creates a space where people feel safe to show up as their authentic selves, and he walks alongside them with empathy, encouragement, and practical tools.
His approach draws from Adlerian therapy and Reality Therapy (with a strong emphasis on client autonomy), along with CBT, ACT, and grounding techniques. He works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, men’s issues, addiction, self-esteem, and more.
We’re so glad to have Ethan continue serving clients as a full member of our team.

We are thrilled to announce that David Seisser, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has returned to the Stenzel Clinical Services team in Wheaton!

David brings deep expertise in trauma-informed care. He specializes in supporting adults navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, family-of-origin issues, men’s issues, codependency, and self-medicating behaviors. He integrates evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, attachment-based therapy, and psychodynamic work—always creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where clients can explore their stories, process stuck experiences, and move toward healing and greater self-understanding.

Having previously been a valued member of our team, we’re excited to have David back and strengthening the care we provide. He is currently accepting new clients for both in-person and online sessions at our Wheaton office.

🎉 We are thrilled to welcome Elayna Kramer, LPC to the Stenzel Clinical Services team!

Elayna is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She provides strength-based, values-driven, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming care across the lifespan — specializing in children, teens, and adults.

She brings expertise in Play Therapy (for children), along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Sand Tray therapy. Her clinical interests include ADHD, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, depression, family-of-origin issues, life transitions, self-esteem, school refusal, and more.

Elayna will be working in our dedicated play-therapy wing, creating a safe and engaging space where younger clients can express themselves, process emotions, and heal through the power of play.
