In honor of 40 years of serving children and adults with low vision, we are sharing 40 stories of hope from patients whose lives have been changed in our little yellow house.
Audrey feared losing her license but with the right tools and help, she was able to maintain her driving independence.
In her words:
"With Dr. Park’s help and the tools she gave me, I was able to pass my driving test and continue driving.
I usually drive only short distances and during the daytime, but being able to drive means so much to me. It helps me maintain my independence. I didn’t even start driving until I was 40, and now I want to be able to drive for as long as I safely can. If it weren’t for Spectrios, I believe I would have had to give up driving three years ago. "
You can help us keep stories like this possible. Every story of independence, hope, and renewed confidence starts with access to specialized low vision care — and none of it would be possible without the support of our community. Through the Vital Vision campaign, you can help ensure that adults and children facing vision loss have the resources, technology, and expert care they need to keep living the lives they love.
Your support helps fund comprehensive low vision exams, occupational therapy, assistive technology training, and so much more — the very services that made stories like this one possible.
