We are looking for additional help for our overnight care shift. If you or someone you know is a night owl and would be interested in joining our team please send us a resume at [email protected]. We would prefer someone with a medical background and/or animal handling experience. ☺️

We have filled our current CSR positions!

We still have room for additional veterinary assistants and licensed veterinary technicians for the right candidate.

We are thrilled and proud to introduce Dr. Michael Miller as one of our new veterinarians at Town and Country Animal Hospital! 🎉

Dr. Miller is a graduate of Ross University. He is a homegrown West Virginia student from WVU. He majored in animal and nutritional science with a minor in equine science. He spent some time with us as a veterinary assistant before going to vet school!

He enjoys ice cream 🍦 with sprinkles, steak, and to make it healthy some fruit on the side. In his free time he enjoys cooking and riding horses. The coolest thing he has gotten to do is a diaphragmatic hernia repair on a bear dog and a C-section on a cow! 🐄

Dr. Miller's interests include large animal reproduction, emergency medicine, and he would like to eventually venture into physical therapy and rehabilitation medicine. He is going to be a great asset to our hospital! He is accepting new patients. His first day with us will be July 7th. We hope to support and watch him grow in his veterinary career. The world is your oyster Dr. Miller! 💙

We are excited and proud to introduce Dr. Cody Martin as one of our new veterinarians at Town and Country Animal Hospital! 🎉

Dr. Martin is a graduate of Ross University. He completed his undergrad studies at WVU. He majored in animal and nutritional science with a minor in equine science. His interests in veterinary medicine include preventive care, exotics, and internal medicine. He would like to see more equine patients in the future as well. You may remember him from his time as a veterinary assistant with us before he went to vet school. 😊

His favorite foods include pasta and chocolate chip cookies. In his free time he enjoys riding his horses and checking out cool cars. Dr. Martin does not like spiders or heights. We won't be asking him to see any tarantulas!

The coolest thing he has gotten to do in veterinary medicine so far is an enucleation on a rat! 🐀 👁

Dr. Martin is going to be a great addition to our hospital. We can not wait to see what he accomplishes in his career. And we hope to support him along his journey as we continue to grow as a hospital. He is accepting new patients and will be starting with us on July 7th. 💙

Our vacation week starts after today! If you experience an emergency with your pet please seek care at MedVet, PVSEC or your nearest emergency clinic. We are open until 4 today for medication and food pick ups that have previously been called in for refills. We look forward to seeing everyone June 22nd refreshed and ready for a new week! 😎🏖😎

⛱️ Town and Country Animal Hospital will be closed June 13th to June 21st for summer vacation for all hospital support staff. ⛱️

We will be back in the office on June 22nd hopefully tanner and well rested. 😎

Please call ahead for any medication refills/pickups. Any messages/emails will be answered on or after June 22nd.

If you experience a medical emergency with your pet during that week please seek care at one of the recommended ER hospitals. Our hospital will be fully closed that week.

We celebrated Dr. Radcliffe’s 72nd birthday today! At his request we had a nice BBQ lunch with some tasty ice cream cakes for dessert 😋. We wouldn't be able to offer the medicine, care, and support that we do without him at the helm. He is our champion and our rock. There is no storm we cannot weather with him at our center.

Today ALSO marks 45 YEARS that Dr. Radcliffe has had his practice open. 45 years of offering the best care, medicine, and compassion to our clients and patients. Dr. Radcliffe has truly dedicated his life to veterinary medicine and continues to show up every day for his staff and patients. We are proud of all we have accomplished over the years. Feel free to share your stories, pictures and experiences with us in the comments. Dr. Radcliffe will have a nice week at the beach to read about the positive impact he has made over the years. 😎

And THANK YOU ALL for continuing to support us as we strive to provide the best medicine to your pets. We appreciate the support and dedication you all have shown to Dr. Radcliffe and his staff these last 45 years. 💙

Yesterday we did 5 previously scheduled surgeries in the morning. ( K9 Neuter, K9 Neuter + dental, K9 tumor removal, K9 dental, and another K9 dental )

We also saw 5 emergencies. ( Foreign body, dog bite, umbilical hernia with intestines through the body wall, dystocia, and open incisions) 3 of which turned into emergency surgeries. ( Exploratory surgery where 2 wooden food skewers were removed as well as a bone, hernia repair on a 2 hour old puppy, and a c-section with 9 puppies revived successfully!!!)

In addition we saw 23 DVM appointments and 12 technician appointments.😳

While this is not a routine day, it is not an uncommon day for those in veterinary medicine. And we would not be able to provide the level of care we do without our dedicated support staff and our awesome DVMs. We hold our staff to high standards and we push them daily. But boy do we appreciate all they do for us and our patients. 💙

And Dr. Radcliffe turns 72 tomorrow and is still kicking butt 💪! This crew has earned their vacation next week 10x over. Thank you all for trusting us with your pets over the years. And for being patient with us when we are running our circus on top speed. 🎪

Kudos to our staff and all those in veterinary medicine conducting their own circus! 🫡

Yes world, we’ve added 3 veterinarians (introductions coming soon 😊) to the roster! They will begin seeing patients throughout the month of July!
