There is something so powerful about witnessing a VBAC unfold. 🤍
I had the honor of supporting a beautiful mama during the birth of her second baby — and her first vaginal delivery. She showed up with strength, trust, and determination, and labored completely naturally all the way to 8–9 cm like an absolute superstar. Every wave, every breath, she handled with such grace.
And when it came time to meet her baby… she pushed with confidence and power like she had done it a hundred times before — even though this was her first vaginal birth. It was incredible to witness.
VBAC mamas carry a unique kind of strength, and being in that space reminded me exactly why I love this work so much. I may not doula as often as I’d like, but moments like this reignite that passion deep in my heart.
Surrounded by an amazing support system and compassionate hospital staff, this birth was everything it should be — empowering, supported, and full of love.
Congratulations to this incredible mama and her sweet baby! 💗
