Mya was a 6 year cancer survivor from AML. She passed away on 09/22/24 at 9 years old from lung damage due to cancer treatments from 2017.

I just want to say Thank You!!!

Mya is the reason for Mya Bee Honey!

I became a beekeeper because of our little girl.

I wanted to occupy my mind, to keep busy so the thought of losing Mya wouldn't consume me.

But then it became more, the most important goal of Mya Bee Honey is to let the world know that she was here.
To tell her story because she was and will always be important!

We are not only sharing her with the world but we are also helping others.
We are helping the bees and our environment.

Some of you may know but others may not that
A percentage of sales from Mya Bee Honey will be donated to a foundation of our choosing.
We hope to also be able to donate to dog rescues because Mya loved her dog-dogs.
We plan to do all of this in the near future.

I am so happy that you enjoy what we are doing and next year we will be adding quite a few more hives to our apiariy.

Mya would be proud of all of us!!!

We all made wishes and blew out your candles.
And Momma had her face painted in honor of you, Mya.
Your family and friends sent you lots of Happy Birthdays and tons of love.
Your doggies had a little bit of icing for you.
You came into this world fighting and you won!
We are in awe of you and honor your life.
Momma will keep your memory alive because you are and always will be important.

9/22/24 @ 5:22am in Room 22 was your last day with us.

2 years has already gone by and it doesnt get easier.

We miss you so much.

Momma, Daddy, Brudder (Logan), Pop and Memom are all trying to stay strong and live this life without you. Losing you was not up to us but we must endure it and try to find some sort of comfort.

Just know that we are proud of you.
You did everything right in life.
You are a perfect angel and forever our 🐝

Tomorrow marks 2 years without you.

Why's this life so hard!

I wasn't going to cry but here I am balling my eyes out while I make this post.

I wasn't angry a second ago but in this moment I am, because I am without you.

I know you're okay, you have to be, if I didn't believe it I would be so much worse.

Its hard for all of us, not just me.
I try not to be selfish when I just talk about myself.

Its not fair, it will never be fair.
You should be here but I should be grateful that you were for a little while. I am...

I want tomorrow filled with smiles, some tears but always happiness because you are good!!!
I believe you did what you needed to do in life.

I always told you and still tell Logan "Do Good". You did good and Logan continues to do good.
I am proud of you both and I will love you both forever.

Unfortunately Mya had AML M6 which created solid tumors in her brain and spine which had a very poor prognosis.
She lived longer than expected because of the ventilator and oxygen.

This month is a hard one, in just 6 days, Mya will have been gone for 2 years.
2 years, already but it seems like forever since I held her.
Even though I cant physically touch her, I look at Logan and I see her in his eyes.
She's part of us, sometimes saying this makes me feel ok but other times it sucks to not have her here.

September is Leukemia Awareness Month. 🧡

Leukemia is cancer of the blood-forming tissues, including the bone marrow, and it is not one single disease. The four main types are ALL, AML, CLL and CML. ALL is the most common type of leukemia in children, while the other types occur more often in adults, although AML and CML can also affect children.

Different types require different treatments, which is why continued research into every form of leukemia matters. 🧡
